You know, those kids who keep calling you a noob on a game that has been out for less than 24 hours. That HAS to be the Sony Fanboys on this site... Especially the ones who think I am under the legal voting age, much less the drinking age.

I played the demo and found that it wasn't to my liking. But I got bored with FFVII, too, so that says it all right there.

A DIGITAL signal does not equal an HD signal. Trust me. I have digital cable, and it looks like crap, unless I turn it to the HD channels. This move to digital signals will not affect the Wii.

I am neither stupid, nor lying, nor sad. I do hate the PSN, though. The ease of trying to play with my friends over the PSN is a lot more difficult than it needs to be. If my friends are playing OTHER games, which I know is hard to imagine that somebody could be playing a different game than me with ALL of the different options... Resistance and Motorstorm...

You know what? This game IS awesome. But I am back to the SAME problems I had with Resistance: trying to play with my friends in the same game. I even got the retail version so I would have the Bluetooth headset.
#1: I can't talk to a single fricking person even though I can hear them. Ridiculous.
#2. I have friends who are obviously playing, but I have no way of getting into their game or having them get into my game.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME. This will be THE perfect time waster until Halo 3 actually comes out. That means: the game IS awesome. It is JUST like BF1942 except A LOT more accessible. It is a ridiculous amount of fun... just like Bioshock. THIS is THE game I have been waiting for on the PS3. PRAISE GOD!

People who start throwing ages out are usually two to three years older than the age they throw out(i.e. Stupid little kids, probably 11... that person is typically 14). I am a 31 year old helicopter pilot in the U.S. Navy. So take your little age and shove it up your a$$. I have a nice job that allows me to have 3 Xbox 360's, 2 PS3's, and a Wii, along with three HD televisions to play in HD on all of them(sorry taxpayers, I am a gamer). ...
The light on front(that is yellow in standby and green when powered up) is just not on. No power. That is the current problem. Unplugged and back in. I have tried different outelts. I have troubleshot it ridiculously. I am a helicopter pilot. Troubleshooting is what I do. I've had the hardest time explaining that to MS.
I don't think they are quite the same animal. With one, I can play a game while I am chatting with a friend playing an entirely different game. The other, I have to leave a game just to see if all of my friends are on. I did not get a PS3 to hang out in a virtual environment or find my friends. I got a PS3 to play kick ass games.

What kind of proof would they have? A picture of the tracking number off of the box the PS3 that was MAILED to Sony? I have a PS3, and it has had more software screwups than anything else. I lost all of my progress on Resistance because the save file got corrupted. Talk about wanting to throw your console out of a window.

So good on you for not paying full price for it. I am picking up Warhawk tomorrow and hope that it is halfway decent so I can justify my purchase.

I understand about game releases. I have been gaming most of my life. I just got caught up in the PS3 hype. When I pre-ordered the thing, Heavenly Sword was supposed to be a release title. There were a whole bunch of titles that were supposed to be released. A lot of them got pushed back. And I have always been aware that MGS4 was a 2008 or 2009 release.
That is actually a good question. What else am I looking forward to now that it looks like Lair is a bust? And GTA isn...
Warhawk looks fun. Heavenly Sword looks fun. But these games are NOT what I bought the PS3 for, and I honestly feel like it is a couple of more scraps while we wait for things like MGS4. From reading the other posts, I am the only one that feels this way.
I really could use the $1200 back on the two PS3's I bought, and put it in my savings account or my IRA. Ugh.
My personal preference for the on foot thing would be to make it a first person perspective. I am not getting a lot out of seeing my own character, and the aiming(semi-auto lock on, but not) thing is going to take a little getting used to. There is some good balance with the rocket launchers and the binoculars.
I played CTF last night for 4 hours straight and had an absolute blast. I am now officially happy to own a PS3. It really is a great time to be a gamer.
